At Dodeca we have created a non-profit Research and Exhibition Centre that is open to the public.
The exhibits are an opportunity to share our passion for design and to pay tribute to inspiring designers and architects.
Our display “CREATURE” is a form that is “soft” yet thought provoking and inviting.
A form that responds to the context it is in – the plaza and the linear route that pulls through to the bridges and to the residences.
The material had to be flexible, durable, weather resistant and ultimately, exciting and new, in perception.
Internally the articulation of the display structure has grown out of a process of experimentation and sourcing of local material usage,
i.e. Pine timber from our forests in Knysna and stainless steel yacht rigging equipment to suspend the display panels.
